Dean did an absolutely incredible job at his first Ironman event. Despite the permanently broken clavicle (is there a more accurate way to describe this Kim?), Dean finished in 12:03:33! Here's a video of him crossing the finish line:

Dean credits the support of all of his athlete friends for getting him through the seven weeks between the bike crash and IMAZ. He was able to finish the 140.6 mile course with a great time despite his permanently separated shoulder. Dean especially thanks Denise, Kara and Will for being out on the north side of Tempe Town Lake for all three loops of the run course. That support not only kept Dean going during the difficult and painful run, but Denise's text messages allowed us to gage when Dean would be crossing the finish line and capture this video! I love it when Mike Riley (the voice of Ironman) calls Dean "The Man in Black!"
